|
(September 2004) If you are a US-based physician registered with our Physician Finder database, in just a few days you will receive a unique and important survey through the ALERT system of SweatSolutions newsletter.
The online survey is part of our effort to support the American Academy of Dermatology's and American Academy of Neurology's CPT code application for the use of botulinum toxin type A for the treatment of hyperhidrosis.
The American Academy of Dermatology and American Academy of Neurology have submitted a joint CPT code proposal to the American Medical Association asking for three codes:
1. Axillary
2. Palmar or plantar
3. Other, such as craniofacial, Frey syndrome, and salivary gland.
The results of the survey will be used, in the aggregate, to help address expected questions at the AMA CPT Editorial Panel meeting. The new codes are expected for the CPT 2006 book.
Your participation in this effort is greatly appreciated.
If you're a physician regsitered with us, look for a link to the survey in your e-mail box very soon, and please take action. |
