(July/August 2005) It's hard to believe that we've been publishing SweatSolutions for over one year. Even more exciting is the fact that since April, 2004 our readership has grown from just 200 subscribers to nearly 9,000. In fact, 4,036 subscribers have signed-on in the first half of 2005 alone, and our readers now hail from 22 different nations. From excessive sweating sufferers and their families to physicians and scientists, the International Hyperhidrosis Society represents a diverse group with one thing in common – a deep desire to improve the lives of those with hyperhidrosis.
With so many recent newcomers, it seems like a great time to remind everyone about the valuable tools, information, and services SweatSolutions and the International Hyperhidrosis Society have to offer. For instance, you can go online to SweatSolutions.org anytime to read our archives, which contain every article we've ever written. From the most effective way to use over-the-counter antiperspirants to the FDA approval of Botox for the treatment of underarm hyperhidrosis, the SweatSolutions archives ensure that the most important hyperhidrosis news is always at your fingertips.
And don’t forget to visit our Web site, SweatHelp.org, for important information about the diagnosis and management of hyperhidrosis, tools to help with insurance and reimbursement, information to help you make the most of your doctor’s visits, and, of course, access to our unique Physician Finder database – the only searchable database of physicians who care for those suffering from excessive sweating.
For healthcare providers, SweatHelp.org offers comprehensive, objective information as well as practical diagnosis and clinical guidelines. We also provide access to the most informative, up-to-date, and practical hyperhidrosis continuing medical education (CME) events – including our own programs and those of other organizations like the American Academy of Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. To help with patient education efforts, the International Hyperhidrosis Society also offers objective, informative, easy-to-read, and attractive brochures that provide comprehensive hyperhidrosis condition and treatment information. Healthcare professionals can order the brochures in English, Canadian (in English but with Canada-specific information), Spanish, and Italian versions.
In the past 16 months, the International Hyperhidrosis Society has grown extensively – further enabling us to provide those who suffer from hyperhidrosis and those who care for them with the tools, information, and support they need to take action and take care. Thanks to all of you for helping to make this possible. Keep up your good work and rest assured that we'll keep up ours, too. |
